- 2007 – Creation of North Shore Postpartum Depression Task Force
- Awareness of need through Cape & Islands PPD Training
- Ipswich Birth to Three Family Center, under Director Kitt Cox, proposed monthly Task Force & invited initial members (and provided chocolate)
- Task Force submitted articles to local media and sought additional community partners.
- 2008 – Training & Website
- Participation in “Maternal & Mental Health Training” by MA DPH
- Task Force members organized professional training for 50 individuals through “MotherWoman Inc.”
- Development of local PPD Triage Flowchart (current version in Resources)
- Participation in first MA legislative meeting for PPD with Representative Ellen Story and Senator Bruce Tarr.
- Creation of website through a gift from North Shore United Way
- “Promoting Postpartum Mental Health: A Training for Medical and Family Support Providers”
- Dr. Ed Tronick and Dr.Deborah Issokson featured speakers
- 70 attendees at Endicott College
- Grant from New England Biolabs helped make it possible
- Trainings developed and presented to community organizations

- “An Act Relative to Postpartum Depression” filed by Ellen Story in MA
